Pastor Loyd C. Taylor, Sr. has served as Senior Pastor of Immanuel Baptist since 1994. He has a Doctorate of Ministry in Theology and is a certified Biblical Counselor. He established the Biblical Counseling Ministry at IBC and serves as a Chaplain.

Pastor Taylor is married to Katherine and they have four devoted children.  Other than his salvation, he believes his most precious gift is his loving and faithful wife Kathy.

In addition to pastoring he enjoys writing and music. He is the author of several books.

The Taylors thank God for the opportunity to serve Him through the ministry of IBC. They feel truly blessed and honored to serve the faithful congregation of IBC.


Bob Sprigg has served in various leadership and support roles at Immanuel Baptist Church since the 1990’s, and is currently serving as Worship Director. Bob received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies in 1990, a Master of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies in 2011, and is presently finishing work on a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies, all from Piedmont International University.

Bob is married to Sheila and they have a son, daughter in law, and two beautiful grandchildren.

Bob and Sheila feel it is a sincere privilege and honor to be a part, and desire to do all that they can, with the Lord’s help, to serve the members and ministries of Immanuel.


Barbara Fanningsmall


Barbara Fanning serves as the Church administrator, treasurer, and office assistant for the Daycare.  She was saved at 14 and dedicated her life to full time ministry at 16.  Her life verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Her husband, Douglas Fanning is also a faithful servant within the church. Their son Ryan serves in the youth group and worship media.

They have attended IBC for 20 years and are amazed at all that God has done in those years within the ministries.



Melissa Taylor has worked in a daycare setting since 2001. She loves working with kids and feels that being the Director of Immanuel Baptist Church Daycare is a dream come true. Melissa considers her position as work that God has called her to do.

Melissa considers her job and family a blessing.  She is married to Loyd, Jr. and and they have two beautiful children. They enjoy traveling, shopping, camping, and family cookouts.
